While I haven’t actually been out of the United States (except for Mexico) I have always wanted to travel to certain parts of the world. One of those places would be Europe, more specifically Germany and maybe Switzerland and a few other tourist destinations as well. Although doing all of that requires getting a passport and what not and of course having the money and time to do it all in the first place.

Why Germany? Because that is what I’ve been told where our ancestry is and honestly I just like the way the language is spoken. Plus, one of my favorite bands hails from the great country so it’d be interesting to visit and see what it is like. Switzerland because of the hills and mountain landscapes that you see in so many of the beautiful pictures located throughout the web. Seeing Stonehenge would be neat as well just because of the history and mystique behind it.

All of this traveling would give me some great motivation as well to really start using my camera and considering I just purchased a tripod it’ll make taking pictures even easier. Maybe sample some other food from different countries just to see what it would taste like. The major problem being is that I’d hate to do a ‘tour’ of Europe forcing me to run on someone else’s schedule and have to deal with other people. I’d much rather just be able to do what I want when I wanted however I don’t speak the local languages so I may run into some issues depending upon where I went.

However, I imagine that in the larger cities you could find hotels and restaurants where you can speak English and be understood. One of the best chances of making this happen is to look for cheap european flights as the cost of flying is going to consume a fair chunk of the overall cost of the trip. Luckily there are many different websites nowadays such as Travelocity, Expedia and what not that offer some great deals on flights to Europe.

It’s that time of year again when school is starting and many retailers are heavily promoting their back to school sales. This is a time when you can find great deals on tons of school supplies like backpacks, pencils, binders, calculators, shoes for toddlers and many other items your little ones will need.

One of the easiest ways to find great deals is to do some searching online for stores having sales or keep an eye in your local paper for stores in your area. You can also check major retailers online to see if they are having any sales as well and just order the shoes online and having them shipped directly to your door.

You can also find some great deals on shoes for kids at various different shops but it’s best to go during the middle of the day considering most people will be heading out after school to do their shopping. Many companies offer some great discounts anywhere from 10%-60% off shoes which means you can find a lot of great deals!

If you are into gardening and love taking care of plants and maintaining them you might be interested in getting into bonsai. You know, the little trees/bushes that are super popular over in Japan? Bonsai makes for a really great hobby as they don’t take up a huge amount of space, can live to be very old just like regular trees and studies have shown that working with bonsai trees can be very relaxing by reducing stress.

One of the easiest bonsai trees to take care of is the jade bonsai tree. It has been reported to reach heights of close to 6 feet in southern Africa however you can greatly reduce the tress overall size by keeping it in a smaller container. It is also a very slow going tree as it can take close to 20 years for it to even reach close to 3 feet in height. Which can be a really great experience and something that can be a great idea for telling guests about the joy of keeping bonsai.
